EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT REPRESENTING DISABLED VETERANS, BUT WERE TOO BUSY TO ASK

Derek Debus, Esq., is a Marine infantry veteran and the Director of Military and Veterans Law at Stone Rose Law, PLLC. He is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs and admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and is a member of the State Bar of Arizona. His practice focuses entirely on representing Veterans in pursuit of their earned benefits.

Richard Palmatier, Esq., retired after a career as an Army Judge Advocate in 2010, advising on the full spectrum of military law issues, including assignments as the Human Resources Officer and Chief of Staff. He became accredited for VA practice in 2010, working in a small office setting, focused on agency and Board of Veterans Appeals representation, with some appeals to the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.  He joined the State Bar of Arizona in the General Counsel’s office, focused on conservatorships, employment law, and support to the ethics hotline.  He remains accredited by the VA and assists with occasional case reviews with a Texas veterans disability firm.

Join us for a CLE program specifically designed for attorneys who have received accreditation from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), as well as for those who are considering seeking accreditation. This CLE will provide essential knowledge and guidance for legal professionals who wish to represent and advocate on behalf of disabled veterans in their efforts to obtain benefits and services through the VA. You will gain a deeper understanding of the accreditation process, the legal and procedural framework surrounding VA benefits, and the practical skills needed to effectively support veterans effectively in navigating the complexities of the VA claims and appeals systems.
